Care Guide:

A few tips on how to protect and care for your beautiful new Troppabella corset:

~ First off, corsets should not be washed frequently.

~ Ideally corsets should be dry-cleaned only. Make your dry cleaner aware of plastic boning if that is the type of corset you are having cleaned.

~ Do not over clean the corset, as each dry cleaning process will have some wear and tear effect on the corset. This is especially true for the fabric corsets.

~ Any instruction on the corset for hand washing should be followed as detailed on the tag. This is especially true for other lines we sell, such as Escante and     Dreamgirl products.

~ Hand washing a corset generally should be in cool/warm water, NEVER in a washing machine, with a mild powder/detergent. Do NOT use bleach or whitening detergents as this will deteriorate the corset fabric(s).

~ Soaking is not recommended due to the metal fasteners found on most of the corsets. The metalwork may be stainless, but submersion in water can accelerate chances of corrosion to show.

~ Rinse well with cold running water. Do NOT wring to dry. Excess water can be removed by wrapping the corset in a clean, dry towel and gently rubbing to remove the extra moisture.

~ Lay flat to dry. Do NOT tumble dry as this will damage the boning and fabric(s).

~ Leather corsets can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

~ Preventing excessive sweat and wear on the corset can be done by wearing a machine washable thin tube top or bodysuit between you and the corset.

Note about color of corsets: Please allow for the corset to show a bit of chromatism owing to light.
